Leicester Co-working Space – Register Now (opening early 2018)

There are exciting plans to establish a dedicated co-working space in Leicester City and pre-registration is open now.

Coworking spaces are low-cost, low commitment shared workspaces where freelancers, start-ups, professionals and community groups can go to work, meet, learn, connect and grow.

A collaboration of University of Leicester, Leicester’s local start-up business community, local businesses, Leicester City Council and DeMontfort University have come together over the last year to start to realise a co-working space in Leicester, giving early stage start-ups, entrepreneurs, freelancers, professionals, social entrepreneurs and change makers a space to work, connect, collaborate, learn and grow.

The University of Leicester has initiated the Start-up Leicester Co-working project via funding from the LLEP and the University.  Establishing this project supports their commitment to longer term growth and development of a business start-up ecosystem within the city, county and region.

The University believes that such a space will help to accelerate personal growth, professional success and social impact in Leicester supporting business start-up from both the universities and within our city.  This will provide further opportunities for start-ups to progress into grow-on space across the city such as partner spaces; Dock, DMU’s Innovation Centre, LCB Depot, Phoenix, Makers Yard, Friar Mill and Business Box.

Planned features include access to hot-desk workspace, evening and weekend access, personal lockers, mail boxes, meeting space, WIFI, coffee plus great community events.
