Lloyds Bank expands its East Midlands team

Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking has appointed a business development director to its operation in the East Midlands.

Adam Flanagan joins the division following what the bank said was a "period of increased lending. The East Midlands team expanded its net lending facilities to mid-sized companies and large corporates in the region by 14 per cent in the 11 months to November 2013.

Flanagan will be based at the bank's flagship office on Park Row in Nottingham. He joins the 20-strong mid-markets team and will support a network of businesses with annual turnover in excess of £25m.

He is a corporate banker with more than 16 years' experience. Before joining Lloyds Bank, he spent more than four years at Santander Corporate Banking as a relationship manager with responsibility for corporate and commercial banking across the wider West Midlands region.

"This is an exciting time to be joining Lloyds Bank's Commercial Banking team as mid-sized businesses have such a crucial role to play in the UK's continuing economic recovery and prospects for 2014 and beyond are encouraging," Flanagan said.

"The East Midlands is an important area of focus for Lloyds Bank and I'm looking forward to using my experience to help companies across the region achieve their growth and development objectives."

Dene Jones, area director for Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking in the region, added: "Adam brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our growing team. This senior appointment adds additional strength to our offering in the East Midlands at a time when we are looking to further increase our lending to businesses across the region."
